Minamino reveals why he joined Liverpool

Liverpool made it one of the most prominent players in the Champions League in the first half of the season at the January marker. It’s about Takumi Minaminon, with the Japanese who had done quite well with Salzburg.

To secure his services, “The Reds” paid almost 9 million euros, beating out the competition of some clubs. Minamino’s desire to join Liverpool also played an important role. Related to this desire, the Japanese recently confessed that it was Shinji Kagawa who convinced him.

“I first spoke to Maya Yoshidan, who has been to Southampton, but I didn’t ask her about Liverpool. I just told him I would move to the Premier League, but I never told him about Liverpool,” Minamino said.

“I also spoke with Kagawan, who had worked with Klopp while playing at Dortmund and he convinced me even more about my choice.”

“Shinji talked to me about Klopp, as the coach told me about Shinji and I noticed we had a very good relationship. Shinji told me Klopp is one of the best coaches in the world and now that I’m working with him I realize he’s really one of the best.”
