Cladio Marchisio has confirmed retirement from active football at the age of 33, forced by multiple injuries.

The Italian midfielder has made a great career as a footballer but has now decided to put his shoes on the nail.

It’s the former Juventus star himself, who has confirmed his retirement from playing football through a post on social media.

“I made a promise to the kid who dreamed of becoming a football player.”

I would have played until I had felt the miracle on the pitch. ”

“I was no longer fulfilling my promise, so I prefer to stop.”

“So thank you dream, give me strength, success and joy!” Marchisio wrote on Twitter.

During his career, Marchisio has won seven Serie A titles, one Serie B, four Italian Cups, three Italian Super Cups and one Russian title with Zenit.
