Irving debuts with the Nets by 50 points, but loses the basket for the win

Kyrie Irving scored 50 points to break his record with Nets debut but lost the balance and missed a shot that allowed the Mennesota Timberwolves to win the game 127-112 in Brooklyn on Wednesday.

Karl-Anthony Towns scored 36 points and made 14 saves for Minessota, while Andre Wiggins finished the game with 21 points, including a very important basket near the end of the match.

Irving had the ball in his hands with the chance to secure a victory in his impressive debut. He let time pass and when the end approached he started the run but lost the balance near the three-point line. He came back dribbling and fired the ball, but didn’t score.

Irving broke Kiki Vandeweghes’ record for most points scored by a player in his first game with a new club. Vandeweghe scored 47 points for Portland on October 27, 1984.
