Robin Van Persie has encouraged Paul Pogban and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to clarify their plans for the future of the Frenchman at Manchester United through a joint interview.
Paul Pogbas’ agent Mino Raiola and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer have been involved in a public debate in recent weeks amid growing doubts over Paul Pogbas’s future.
The French star’s representative initially said Pogba would be ready to return to Juventus this summer because he sees Italy as a second home, but Solskjaer disliked those comments and reminded Raiola that the player belongs to the club and not to him.
Raiola reacted strongly to Solskjaer’s statement and insisted that Pogba belongs to none other than himself.
Later, the Red Devils coach suggested he would neither speak with Pogba nor with Raiola about these statements, while Raiola later said that Pogba is committed to the English club only until the end of the 2020 European Championship.
All these statements have left Manchester United fans confused. Former Red Devils striker Van Persie believes Pogba and Solskjaer should do an interview together and clarify the situation.
“It’s very difficult when it comes to Pogba. Is he happy there? There is constant speculation, the agent constantly gives interviews, the coach answers questions for him every day of every week. There’s a lot going on besides the main thing, which is football,” Van Persie said.
“I know how these things work, especially if you are injured. People can’t judge you for your game, so they have to talk about other things.”
“I think the best option for Pogba and Manchester would be for him to do an interview with the coach and say, ‘Listen, I love this thing, in this country I want to play – think about it. I’m happy or I’m not happy. ” Now, many questions are being asked around.”
