France coach Didier Deschamps has admitted that Paul Pogba will miss the upcoming Euro 2020 qualifying matches, and will miss Manchester United in the English derby against Liverpool.
Deschamps hoped that Pogba would be involved in the upcoming matches of the French national team.
But it looks like the midfielder has suffered a recurring ankle injury that has plagued him throughout the season.
Pogba will likely miss the Red Devils’ big game against Liverpool next week as part of the ninth round.
“It’s a new concern with his ankle,” Deschamps initially told reporters
“He played in the Carabao Cup, he played again on Monday against Arsenal. He still has a problem that will keep him out of the field for three weeks.
“I would love for him to be there like all the players available, but unfortunately he is not able to be physically present,” the Frenchman concluded.
